2022-WIP
An ongoing series exploring how mass and space meet, integrate, and awaken each other. The work borrows the ribbon worm’s elastic logic and lets flesh read as a moving code rather than a fixed diagram.
The series includes two life size self portraits. One reimagines the body as a field of errant masses, as if organs had grown by impulse rather than utility, altering the final composition of the body. The other isolates the tumors as an independent species, rendered as drifting shapes that float, gather, and briefly assemble, finding purpose in their union.
New pieces extend this inquiry beyond the canvas, testing how forms sit in a room, how proximity and pressure change what a body seems to be, and how space itself becomes part of the anatomy. The aim is to track how chance, condition, and time write the body, and how that writing can be redirected toward presence and repair.
