The Cloud is a site responsive art installation created in collaboration with poet and multidisciplinary artist No Land. Designed to activate the theater’s negative space, the piece featured a floating, layered fabric suspended midair at the center of the stage, animated by ambient airflow and subtle motion.
Through live projection mapping, the fabric became a living surface illuminated with shifting visuals, handwritten poetry, and cinematic fragments. The installation responded dynamically to No Land’s performance, which interwove spoken word, video, voice, and design alongside live musical accompaniment by Oliver Ray (guitar, electronics), Shahzad Ismaily (bass), Daniel Carter (winds), and Miriam Parker (movement).
The installation premiered on May 25, 2025, during No Land: Double Twilight at Roulette Intermedium, offering an ephemeral, atmospheric intervention where word, image, and breath merged in midair.
